The silversmiths we represent are also members of the Indian Arts and Crafts association to guarantee authenticity. A complete list of these silversmiths and their personal hallmarks is provided below. These are Indian Hand Made products and should not be confused with jewelry imitations.
.925 Sterling Silver
Sterling Silver in it's purest state is too soft for jewelry use, so Silversmiths have learned to mix in other metals like copper to form a harder alloy. Generally Jewelry grade sterling silver is 10 to 15 percent Copper. .925 Sterling Silver is 92.5% Silver, and only 7.5% Copper. This high grade of Sterling silver produces the finest Jewelry with the most brilliant shine.
Genuine Stones
The Native American Silversmiths that we represent use only the finest Genuine stones available. Many artists of today are beginning to use stones from reconstituted sources. These are stones that have been ground into a fine powder, melted down, and mixed with plastics. This is a common procedure for reclaiming Turquoise. The turquoise, Black Onyx, Green Malachite and Pink Mussel Shell used in our Jewelry is all Natural*.
