embedded with dozens of fossils. The
face is inlaid with petrified wood.

was well known for his detailed channel
inlay work that he began producing in
the 1960s. This piece features a ram
design with mother of pearl, turquoise
and tortoise shell stones. The use of
tortoise shell was outlawed in the early
70s. This piece is unsigned, suggesting
it was one of his earlier pieces.

Edward
Beyuka became very well known for his
intricate, inlaid Kachina dancer bolos. He
began working in 1956, working alongside his
then wife, Madeline, who did the inlay while
Eddie did the silverwork. After they
divorced, Eddie began doing the inlay work
as well. His sons Jonathan and Filbert
follow in his footsteps today and do very
similar work. Eddie passed away in 2002.
This exquisite piece features turquoise,
mother of pearl, coral, jet, pink shell and
tortoise shell and ivory inlaid in a Zuni
Fire God design. It can be worn as a bolo,
pendant or a pin. It also has a small pipe
at the bottom so that it can be made to
stand on a pin. Includes heavy leather cord
and Eddie's hallmark, Sterling Silver hand
made drum bead tips. Stamped EAB, Zuni on
the back. The drum beads are also stamped
EAB.
Size: Bolo is
4 5/8" Tall, 2 1/8" Wide. Leather cord is
43" in total length. Drum beads are 1"
x 3/4".
