TURQUOISE KETOH BOW GUARD
This beautiful ketoh came from the Hopi
village of Hotevilla
on Third Mesa. It is hammered and
stamped with intricate designs. There
are three silver 1" round pieces on each
side of the center plate. The turquoise
is waxed and scuffed from use. The
center stone is cracked but stable.
There is body paint reside on the
leather. It is estimated
that this piece was made after 1970.
It has not been recently
cleaned.
Size:
Face is 4 1/8" tall, 2 1/2"
wide. Leather is 9 3/4" long.
