WIDEST SELECTION OF NATIVE AMERICAN ART ONLINE
TRUSTED BY THOUSANDS OF BUYERS SINCE 1999
Navajo artist Thomas Francisco used stunning Lone Mountain turquoise accented with classic twist rope designs in sterling silver. Strung on two strands of sterling silver polished beads. This set is signed by the artist. The Lone Mountain turquoise mine produces some of the most famous and highly desired of the Nevada turquoise. Claimed in 1920 by Lee Hand as the Blue Jay Mining Lode, it was later renamed Lone Mountain. The mine has produced very exceptional quality turquoise including both a beautiful clear blue as well as fine dark blue web. Occasionally, pseudo-morphs (cavities formed from decaying organic remains like plants or clam shells in which turquoise then forms) can be found but are quickly snatched up by collectors.
