Navajo Hand Coiled Pine Pitch Carved Pottery Wedding Vase

This is a piece of pine pitch pottery from Navajo artist Betty Manygoats. When traditional Navajo pottery was used for water storage it was covered with pine pitch to waterproof the piece. This carved and painted pot is signed.

8 3/4" Tall, 4 1/2" Wide

Though this piece is sealed with pine pitch, we do NOT recommend introducing it to water.
