Albert Lee is a consummate jeweler who carries on a family tradition that goes back six generations. From the Four Corners area of the Navajo reservation, Albert and his brothers specialize in magnificent stones, set in designs that are inspired by tradition, but have a modern allure that is timeless.
This magnificent cuff features very heavy gauge silverwork surrounding a high grade, natural Damele Variscite stone. It is stamped with Albert's hallmark and Sterling. Weighs 110 grams!
Damele is a small mine outside of Austin, Nevada. Very little material is being produced today. Much of the material sold presently is cut from older rough that can still be found from various turquoise dealers and collectors. Damele is very hard and comes in a variety of colors from yellow, gold, greens and grays with a beautiful spider webbing. It is a well known mine with highly sought after cabochons and beads. It produces primarily Variscite, though a small percentage of the material is turquoise.
