The Dream Catcher was a personal fetish, bestowing its medicine on its owner while they slept by catching bad dreams in its webbing and letting the pleasant dreams pass through. Originally weaved with deer sinew on a willow hoop and adorned with personal fetishes as well as beads and feathers, the dream catcher hung in the lodge on the East wall awaiting the morning sun which would then burn off all the bad dreams that had been captured in its web during the night.©
This dream catcher is accented with wooden and bone beads and feathers.
