This all natural, rare, lavender turquoise is from the Altyn-Tyube mine in Kazakhstan, also known as the Golden Hill mine. Mining this turquoise is extremely difficult. Being mostly tunnels and shafts, the miners can only work in the winter months when the ground is hard enough not to collapse in on itself. This pendant is signed and marked sterling by the Navajo artist.
