Navajo artist Betty Yellowhorse created this magnificent necklace using a mixture of old Morgan silver dollars and Liberty half-dollars and dimes. Each bead is made by doming and soldering two Liberty dimes to each other. The dimes range in date from 1912-1945. The half dollars are from 1936-1944. The centerpiece Morgan silver dollar is from 1879. The coins are all 90% silver content. An attached tag stamped Betty Yellowhorse hangs at the back. This piece has not been cleaned. Weighs 308 grams total.
Size: Necklace is 22 1/2" long. Center pendant (naja) is 2 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide.
