Zuni Pueblo artisan John Lucio is known for his originality and technical skill at channel inlay jewelry. Each of his examples is a remarkable feat of ingenuity and creativity with distinct channel inlay technique and precise silver work. John started making jewelry in the 1950's, working as an apprentice to several of the older masters at the Zuni Pueblo. He soon became a leader of the art form with his work becoming very collectable. He specialized in intricate channel inlay Eagle Dancer jewelry, but his career was as a Zuni firefighter with the U. S. Forest Service. He was represented in the C. G. Wallace Collection.

Both piece are stamped J. Lucio. Bolo includes leather cord and sterling tips. They have not been recently cleaned.

Size:

Bolo is 3 3/8" Tall, 2 2/4" Wide. Cord is 40" long with tips. 78 grams total weight.

Buckle is 2 3/4" Tall, 3 3/8" Wide. Will fit up to a 1 1/2" belt. 70 grams total weight.
