Large Mata Ortiz Hand Coiled Eye Dazzler Pottery

Born into the world of Mata Ortiz art, under the tutelage of his father, the renowned ceramist Macario Ortiz, this talented artist has been honing his craft since the tender age of 14. Over the years, he has garnered recognition and acclaim, earning first place in the esteemed 2011 Mata Ortiz contest, third place in the Metepec Arbol de la Vida contest, and a second-place win in the prestigious 2016 Mata Ortiz contest for his exquisite polychrome ceramics.

This large, beautiful pot was hand-coiled and painted with incredible eye-dazzler Paquime style designs. Includes matching ring stand. It is signed by the artist.
