Santa Clara Pueblo Hand Coiled Carved Pottery

Lucy Year Flower Tafoya was born in Pojoaque Pueblo; later marrying Jose Tafoya of Santa Clara. She was the daughter-in-law of Camilio Tafoya and a sister-in-law to Joseph Lonewolf and Grace Medicine Flower. Beginning in the 1970s, her pottery features carved designs and some sgraffito on its surface. Lucy has garnered many awards for her carved pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market and other events.  She passed away in 2012. It is signed by the artist.
